Brazilian Funk Fridays

Part of Dance Migration’s International Residency

For the first time, Dance Migration introduces Brazilian Funk into our training—led by Dandan Firmo as part of our International Residency Program.

This is a rare opportunity to learn Brazilian funk directly from an artist working at the highest level of the industry in Rio de Janeiro.

Dandan has choreographed and performed with some of the biggest funk artists in Brazil, bringing an authentic, high-energy, and technically grounded approach to the style.

This is more than a class—it’s an entry point into Brazil’s contemporary dance culture. ✨

Fridays | 7:00–8:30 PM
May 1 – July 3

📍 Classes will begin at 180 Shaw St (studio space) and transition to Earlscourt Park starting June 5.

Training outdoors reflects how dancers train in Brazil—supporting:
