For one weekend only, internationally acclaimed Brazilian choreographer Patrick Carvalho returns to Toronto for an exclusive two-day intensive presented by Dance Migration.

A visionary artist from Rio de Janeiro, Patrick is celebrated for his groundbreaking work creating Comissão de Frente choreographies for Rio de Janeiro's Carnaval and for his appearances as a choreographer on Brazil's Dança dos Famosos. His work has earned some of Brazil's highest artistic honours, including the prestigious Estandarte de Ouro, along with the Tamborim de Ouro, S@mba-Net, and Troféu Band Folia awards.

More than an award-winning choreographer, Patrick is an artist who reveals the invisible—not only on the stage, but within the dancers he works with. His classes are known for challenging artists to move beyond technique, uncovering greater presence, authenticity, creative freedom, and expressive depth.

Whether you trained with Patrick during his residency last year or are experiencing his work for the first time, this is a rare opportunity to immerse yourself in his unique creative process through two intimate workshops.
